Literary Theory
Nowadays it is a central literary textual content in English literature courses, throughout the world. This distinction is complicated by numerous hybrid forms corresponding to sound poetry, concrete poetry and prose poem, and extra usually by the fact that prose possesses rhythm. Abram Lipsky refers to it as an “open secret” that “prose is not distinguished from poetry by lack of rhythm”. In ancient India, literature originated from stories that have been initially orally transmitted.
Comics, the mix of drawings or other visible arts with narrating literature, are often referred to as the “ninth artwork” (le neuvième art) in Francophone scholarship. Literature broadly is any collection of written work, but it is also used extra narrowly for writings specifically considered to be an artwork form, particularly prose fiction, drama, and poetry. In current centuries, the definition has expanded to incorporate oral literature, a lot of which has been transcribed. Literature is a technique of recording, preserving, and transmitting information and leisure, and can even have a social, psychological, non secular, or political function. This profile provides an academic method to the intermedial and/or intertextual relationship between literature and different art varieties, similar to theatre, dance, opera, visible arts or film.
