This course examines the similarities and variations between dramatic arts, music and visible arts. During the fall, InsideOut Literary Arts Venture will accept submissions from young poets, rappers, leaders and activists ages 14-19 from throughout Wayne County who are excited by representing Detroit as the Detroit Youth Poet Laureate.
The School of English is delighted to announce a varied programme of literary occasions this term, reflecting the variety of literary activities amongst colleagues and college students. College students will analyse literary texts from contemporary and historic periods, interpret informational and graphic texts, and create oral, written, and media texts in a wide range of types. The program culminated with a Grand Slam event open to the public on Sunday, Could 7th at 3pm in the lovely Community Arts Auditorium on Wayne State University’s campus.
The space hosts poetry readings, book launches, public radio interviews, and workshops, with constructed-in class and suppleness serving Literary Arts’ mission of bringing literature to everybody. All occasions will happen at Artists Inn Detroit, a new community-pushed arts mission led by award-winning artist and activist, Natasha T. Miller. The Art of American Dance is the primary main traveling exhibition to discover American visual artwork associated to the many forms of dance. The Essential Dance Store (a dance & energetic-wear boutique adjacent to the Artwork of Dance), will probably be uniting their group by being Neighborhood Champions for Small Enterprise Saturday, November twenty fifth from 9am – 4pm.
