Chautauqua Literary Arts Buddies, previously generally known as Chautauqua Readers & Writers, is a volunteer network of writers and readers who work yr-round on behalf of the literary arts at CHQ. The College of English is delighted to announce a diversified programme of literary events this term, reflecting the variety of literary activities amongst colleagues and students. Students will analyse literary texts from up to date and historic durations, interpret informational and graphic texts, and create oral, written, and media texts in a variety of forms. The program culminated with a Grand Slam occasion open to the general public on Sunday, Could seventh at 3pm in the stunning Group Arts Auditorium on Wayne State College’s campus.
To build on our achievements, we’re working to establish an endowment fund that will help ensure the literary arts proceed to thrive in Newfoundland and Labrador for a few years to return. The Literary Arts curriculum is designed in a manner that provides for each artistic and educational approaches to literature.

Literary Arts was formed in 1984 with hopes of attracting a number of authors and thinkers to the Northwest. Our purpose is for college kids within the Literary Arts program to go away Constitution Arts with a brand new confidence in their ability to effectively talk with the world round them it doesn’t matter what profession they choose to pursue. College students will analyse literary texts from modern and historic periods, interpret and evaluate informational and graphic texts, and create oral, written, and media texts in quite a lot of types.
