Each spring the department produces a totally staged musical featuring students from the music, dance and drama areas. An array of stagecraft lessons also are offered, masking the technical features of theater manufacturing. In this all-inclusive program, you will learn about building sets, lighting, sound, costumes and makeup. At Daytona State College you’ve the opportunity to expertise a complete learning environment.
Art music composers corresponding to George Gershwin wrote music that was influenced by jazz. In the Thirties and Forties, many pop music songs started using chords or melodies from jazz songs.
